Though there are nevertheless a great amount of summer time times left until autumn, formally Sept. 22, Labor reminds us that the clock is ticking on the summer of 2020 day.

For many individuals, Labor Day signifies summer’s final long week-end that is well enjoyed in the open air, enjoying all that the summer season has — had — to supply. Swimming during the pond, fishing, going for a hike and, almost certainly, grilling away. But me joy for me, the holiday rekindles a flood of memories from my youth that still bring.

I believe of Labor as a celebration of the American worker — the men and women who have pushed up their shirtsleeves and made this country strong and prosperous day. Read more »
