LONG ISLAND, N.Y. – The owners of a cats-only shelter say they’re overwhelmed by a large influx of people who seek out the animals in need.
Cat lovers and people who want to help can get together to “spend a week,” shelter volunteer Sharon Davis said. That means a실시간카지노 month of free time for them at Cat Connection.
Some cats also get help getting out of dog parks, Davis said. She said the cats who have been saved by people here for months are usually fine.
The shelter is trying to build up voluntee카지노 사이트rs and find other ways to house the animals, too.
Davis said she’d like to see someone come out with a blanket to bring cats in and out of the shelter. The shelter is set up with a shelter bag in case the animals need something. She said the shelter is going to help with cat-in-a-dog-park stuff like bringing them on bikes and putting food containers and other things like that.
The shelter was set up in 2012 in Long Island City about 15 miles north of New York City. It also serves as a temporary facility to help people who need help with their cats, Davis said.
The shelter had nearly 10,000 pets at any given time, Davis said, and has a full waiting list. At least 10 dogs are on the waiting list right now, said Teresa T. Young, one of the shelter’s founders and a Long Island City resident. There are about 20 cats on the waiting list, too, she said.
