Australian footballers have been left wondering why they won’t be allowed to compete in Rio, with Rio’s Olympics Games Council saying the sport cannot currently operate.

The Football Federation Australia (FFA) had warned the federal Government had approved visa approvals for only five Olympians: Matt Moylan, Ben Barba, Jarryd Hayne, Josh Green and Ben Hunt.

That meant none of the 28 athletes who qualified for the Rio games can participate.

But it was revealed all the others would be given a one-year extension in the meantime.

It would give them 12 months to renew their visas and enter Brazil if they are awarded a future Olympics bid, but the FFA has refused to say exactly how long that would have been.

“It’s been confirmed that only five athletes have been g파라오 카지노ranted visas,” the FFA chief executive Dave Richardson told reporters in Melbourne yesterday.

“I can confirm that those are the athletes, which have been granted visas and are seeking the full 11 year Olympic experience in Rio.”

Mr Richardson said there had been “concerns with some of the visa applications”.

“For athletes who qualify at the conclusion of the Rio Games this period will be extended at the discretion of the FFA,” he said.

“There are a number of those athletes who were not eligible and so the FFA will continue to work with the authorities to determine the best course of action for them.”

The Rio games come to an end on Friday night when all 28 sports are due to be present on the athletics stadium.

The Commonwealth Games will now come to an end on Saturday at an event known as the Opening Ceremony and then, if no a바카라 게임thletes make the finals of the Games, the championships run on Sunday.
